The man who disappeared after inventing a time machine

A man from Stanberry, Missouri, USA named Mike “Madman” Marcum attempted to build a fully functional time machine on his front porch. He started working on a device called Jacob’s ladder. The man who disappeared after inventing a time machine

Jacob’s ladder is a device that reduces the resistance between two posts by using a modified compact disc laser, the result of which is a continuous arc. Turning on the device, he noticed something unusual. He saw that there was a trail of heat identical to what one would notice on a hot trail, but it was circular and swirling. So he decided to test the effect by throwing a sheet metal screw through a vortex to see what would happen. As a result, the screw disappeared for half a second, and then reappeared a few meters away.

A time machine to win the lottery
Marcum was 21 years old at the time and completing an education related to electricity. He was a bright student and also smart compared to his fellow students. And the main reason Marcum wanted to build a time machine was so he could win the lottery numbers of the future. However, Marcum faced the problem that a huge power supply is required for the time machine to work effectively.

The CD laser caught fire after a few more tries. He discovered that he had to use larger transformers to rebuild the machine. So he was thinking of buying some new transformers, but they were quite expensive. So he changed his mind and stole more than 6 transformers weighing about 300 pounds from the St Joseph Light and Power Generating Station in King City, Missouri.

While he was testing his experiments, he caused a power outage that resulted in a total blackout for several blocks in his neighborhood. He was then found guilty of stealing the transformers and was arrested by Gentry County Sheriff Eugene Lupfer moments after the blackout, that is, on January 29, 1995. After spending several months in prison, Marcum was released and invited by Art Bell on Coast to participate in Coast Radio, where he shared his story and his plans to build a time machine. He also promised that this time he would do it legally.

Mike “Madman” builds the time machine and tests it himself
On the radio show, Marcum said that he still wants to try the experiment but that he lacks the resources, including money and spare parts. During the interview, he publicly disclosed his cell phone number, to which he received uninterrupted calls for three days. Many listeners contacted Marcum wanting to help him with money, ideas and parts.

These aids and donations made his project possible. So Marcum got down to business, and created a more powerful machine and the level of the project this time was much higher than before. This time he wanted to test the time machine on himself, so he increased the power of the motor from 1 kilowatt to 3 megawatts. To make the experiment more effective and efficient, he also installed a rotating magnetic field similar to the one used by the US military in the Philadelphia experiment.

A year later, Mike was once again invited by Art Bell, where Mike claimed that this time he was experimenting with the most advanced and sophisticated time machine. This time, too, the electromagnetic vortex was big enough for a human being. And at the end of the interview, Marcum claimed that he was about to create the desired voltage to operate the machine. When asked what he would take with him, Mike replied that he would only take his cell phone. And beforehand he decided to give his phone number again and added his address

The Horrific Death of Marcum After deciding to use his time machine
In 1996, during what was also his last interview, Mike said he was only 30 days away from completing his “legal” time machine. Mike Marcum disappeared in 1997, never found. Later, a stranger called the Art Bell Show to share a strange story he had come across.

According to the story, the body of a man was found on a California beach in the 1930s. The corpse was mysteriously crushed into a strange metal tube, the face was in an unrecognizable condition, as was his body. Apparently Marcum’s time machine was successful. But this time machine, like the one created by Nicholas Tesla in the Philadelphia experiment. They show the world that we are not created to use a portal, much less travel through a time machine. Only particles could do it, and as Stephen Hawkins said. Only light can travel faster than light, since it has no mass, and the human being does. In other words, in any attempt that man makes to travel through time, it will have the same result. He will be disintegrated and unrecognizable.
