Brian O’Leary: “We have contact with alien cultures”

Former astronaut and scientist Brian O’Leary passed away on July 28, 2011, shortly after making a significant statement. He was chosen to be part of the sixth class of astronauts chosen by NASA, the American space agency, in August 1967.

O’Leary spent many years teaching physics at Princeton University. He claims that there is strong evidence that extraterrestrial visitors are coming to Earth. He stated that advanced civilizations have been on Earth for a long time and that they use consciousness-based technology.

“There is so much evidence that we have been contacted by aliens and that these civilizations have been visiting us for a long time, their appearance might be bizarre from any traditional Western materialistic point of view. In 1940, on January 27, Dr. Brian O’Leary. Sadly, he got colon cancer and passed away from a heart attack. He was one of the astronauts chosen by NASA to be part of the sixth group of astronauts in August 1967.

Common names for the members of this team were scientist-astronauts. In 1961, Dr. O’Leary graduated from Williams College with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He continued his education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated in 1967 with a Ph.D. in astronomy.

He served as secretary of the Planetology Section of the American Geophysical Union and was a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He also oversaw the NASA Ames Summer Study on Space Settlements’ Asteroidal Resources Group.

He served as the first president of the New Energy Movement and was a founding member of the International Association for New Science. He was a professor of physics at Princeton University and a member of the World Innovation Foundation.

O’Leary left NASA and Carl Sagan invited him to speak at Cornell University the following year. He remained there from 1968 to 1969 as a research associate in astronomy and from 1969 to 1971 as an assistant professor. While he was a student at Cornell, he researched lunar mascons. O’Leary served as a visiting scholar at the California Institute of Technology in the 1970-1971 academic year. He served as assistant science team leader for Mariner 10 Venus-Mercury TV. NASA honored the crew with a Group Achievement Award for their work.

He gave Project Camelot’s Kerry Cassidy a personal interview where he revealed some surprising details about Carl Sagan. Years of friendship between O’Leary and Sagan ended when O’Leary made the decision to leave Cornell.

After his departure, O’Leary began to explore some of Carl’s work. He stated that the iconic “Face” on Cydonia on Mars, which was photographed by Viking in 1975 and resembled a human face, was altered by Sagan before being released to the public: “It was very, very disappointing to me because only Carl was wrong, he also falsified data. He published a photo of the ‘Face’ in Parade Magazine, a popular article, saying that the ‘Face’ was just a natural formation, but he doctored the photo so it didn’t look like a face.”

O’Leary’s work, “Analysis of Images of the Face on Mars and Possible Intelligent Origin”, published in May 1990, only served to highlight his pessimism. It appeared in the British Interplanetary Society Journal, Volume 43, Number 5. O’Leary also made the following public remarks:

“I began to realize, directly from a scientific point of view, not just hearsay, that this man was colluding with NASA, that there could be more to it than before… Carl was on a committee with a number of notable people. There was a report issued by the Brookings Institution in 1961 – and that was around the time I met Carl, during those years; most of the 60’s was when I worked closely with him – that he and this other group said, Well, if any ETs ever show up on Earth, they should be covered up. That’s the only way we can manage this, because if we can’t it would be too much of a culture shock.”

On September 18, 1994, Dr. O’Leary said during the International Forum on New Sciences in Fort Collins, Colorado: “A secret group within the US government has kept the masses away from UFOs and extraterrestrial contact for nearly 50 years. We have contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. This information is likely obscured by an elite group within the CIA, NSA and DIA. This small group knows well the secrets to keep. Watergate and the Iran-Contra affair are children compared to this cosmic Watergate about UFOs, aliens, mind control, genetic engineering, free energy and antigravity.”

O’Leary proposed the existence of a face on Mars, in addition to an extraterrestrial presence on Earth. He also wrote the foreword to Steven Greer’s Hidden Truth, Forbidden Knowledge. In the book, alien technologies are discussed, including free energy, antigravity, and the extraterrestrial presence on Earth.
